Moving your domain keeps your domain, website and email management in one place.
Before you start #
- The domain must be at least 60 days old and not transferred in the last 60 days.
- Your contact email at the current registrar must be working.
Steps #
- At your current registrar, unlock the domain and turn off any privacy setting that blocks transfers.
- Request the authorization code (also called an EPP or transfer code).
- Start the transfer on our domain transfer page and enter the code.
- Approve any confirmation email you receive.
Most transfers finish within 5 to 7 days. Your website and email keep working during the transfer, as long as your nameservers stay the same.
