# How to transfer a domain to AI Powered Hosting

Moving your domain keeps your domain, website and email management in one place.

## Before you start

- The domain must be at least 60 days old and not transferred in the last 60 days.
- Your contact email at the current registrar must be working.

## Steps

1. At your current registrar, **unlock** the domain and turn off any privacy setting that blocks transfers.
2. Request the **authorization code** (also called an EPP or transfer code).
3. Start the transfer on our [domain transfer](https://aipoweredhosting.com/domain-transfer/) page and enter the code.
4. Approve any confirmation email you receive.

Most transfers finish within 5 to 7 days. Your website and email keep working during the transfer, as long as your nameservers stay the same.
