Hosting add-on

Dedicated IP Address for Your Website

Give your hosting account its own IP address that no other customer uses. Useful for IP-based access, integrations and separating your email reputation.

What is a dedicated IP?

An address that belongs only to your account

Every website is reached through an IP address. On shared hosting, many accounts share the same IP, and the server uses your domain name to show the right website. That works perfectly for most sites.

A dedicated IP gives your account its own address. Some services and setups need a fixed address that only you use, and a dedicated IP provides exactly that.

Included or add-on?

When a dedicated IP is useful

IP allowlisting

Some APIs, payment gateways and remote databases only accept connections from approved IP addresses.

Separate email reputation

Sending from your own IP keeps your email reputation separate from other accounts.

Third-party integrations

Certain software, firewalls and business systems need a fixed IP to connect to your server.

Access by IP address

Reach your website or services directly by IP, for example while testing before DNS changes.

Myths

What a dedicated IP will not do

You do not need a dedicated IP for SSL. Free SSL certificates on every plan work on shared IP addresses. A dedicated IP also does not improve search rankings on its own. Choose one when you have a specific technical need, such as allowlisting or email separation.

Yes. You can add it at checkout or later from your client area. Our team can help if you are unsure whether you need one.

Your website keeps working, but DNS records need to point to the new address. If you use our nameservers, this is updated for you, and changes usually take effect within a few hours.
