# How to install WordPress with Softaculous

Softaculous installs WordPress for you in a couple of minutes, including the database and admin account.

1. Log in to cPanel and open **Softaculous Apps Installer**.
2. Click **WordPress**, then **Install**.
3. Choose your domain and the `https://` protocol. Leave the directory empty to install on your main domain.
4. Enter your site name, tagline, admin username, a strong password and your email address.
5. Optional: enable automatic updates for WordPress, plugins and themes.
6. Click **Install**. When it finishes, you will see links to your new site and its admin area.
