# How to restore a backup with JetBackup 5

Shared hosting accounts are backed up every day, and backups are kept for 30 days. You can restore them yourself with JetBackup 5 in cPanel.

1. Log in to cPanel and open **JetBackup 5**.
2. Choose what to restore: **Full Account Backups**, **Home Directory** (files), **Databases** or **Email**.
3. Pick the date you want to go back to.
4. Select the items to restore and click **Restore**. You can follow progress in the queue.

## Tips

- Restoring files overwrites the current versions, so download a copy first if you are unsure.
- To restore a WordPress site fully, restore both its files and its database from the same date.
